BYE BYE BRITAIN - BONJOUR FRANCE

We made it off the small island, after a visit to London to meet up with lovley Clare for a drink in Mayfair then rushed to the south side of the city to meet our new nephew - who is such a cutie pie. Then we drove through the pouring rain to the White Cliffs of Dover to get the midnight ferry over to Dunkerke. We were slightly zonked out after a busy week and found a nice parking lot to park in and sleep in the car, which actually isn´t too bad!

We woke up to sunshine and blue skies (a real relief after all the horrible weather in England) and hit the road to Paris...where we stayed with our good friends Fabienne and Clement in Montmarte, who are expecting a little baby girl in just a few weeks. We had an amazing day sitting in the sun at the gardens at the Museè Rodin, going up the Eiffel Tower late in the day and then driving around Paris at night with the top down. We head to Switzerland tomorrow...so more to come!

VISA SCHEEMAZ

Oh dear - we have had a real hassle getting our visas to India, they seem to think that just because we are both charity workers who are suddenly unemployed that we will try to get jobs and work there. Oh well, at least we we have our passports back now, albeit they stapled my old passport right through the cover of my new one - which the US embassy insisted I have replaced because the cover was 'damaged'...wait till they see this one!

D-DAY IS TOMORROW!

So we finished our jobs exactly one week ago - Kris had a pretty epic last few days, working a 16 hour shift followed by a full 24 hours on his last day! Since then we're had loads on, most importantly - I got my British citizenship, which was really special after 4 years of immigration trials and tribulations. God save the Queen! More to come...we'll should be in Paris for the weekend!

WE'VE GOT WINGS...ERR WHEELS!

So we've now got the baby Merc - check it out!!!

We can't wait to load him up and hit the road. We'll be going all the way to Greece in our lovely new vert convertible...

We've named him Jackson, in honour of the King of Pop - who died the same day we got him. He's got spirit, a whole lotta energy...and did I mention he can moonwalk?
